Designed specifically for use by the Derrickman and intended for use on fingerboards on any style of Drilling Rig were handling heavy stands of drill pipe and drill collars is required.
The RAM “DERRICKMAN” has special pendant control and an automatic disc brake, which allows the Derrickman to move about on the racking board with both hands free and to control the winch from wherever it is mounted.
The Air Motor is a unique design vane-type motor with eccentric rings counter bored into the rotor. These rings assure reliable, consistent starting. The rotor is porous metal material that absorbs oil for maximum lubrication.
Outboard safety cable anchor design insures that the three (3) “dead” wraps on the drum will never be violated. Allows inspection of the setscrew anchor tie down, even when the drum is full of rope.
